Guiding Quotes on Performance / Execution

We are the creator of our own destiny. All the strength & assistance we want is within us. Only we have the strength and powers to achieve whatever we desire. We are what we think. With our thoughts, we make our world. We are responsible for our own failures or successes. Hence Be the change you want to see

Low aim is a crime. Strength comes from an indomitable will. Always strive for recognising your limits and potential to work. It is always better to run the risk of wearing out than rusting out. The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war. Show exemplary courage to step outside comfort zone, stretch your boundaries, express power, and fulfill your potential, you would be forced to expand consciousness. Jab tak jeevan hai tab tak sangharsh hai. It takes courage to die! But sometimes it takes more courage to live. You should be agile, concentrated, composed, cool and stable at the same time

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Small steps taken regularly lead to greater results. Always make an attempt to achieve whatever you desire rather than repenting later. Practice to be confident of self potential & practice using it to the fullest. Think strategically (check motive and intent) before and while you speak. Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Think as if you were to live forever. Think like a man of actions, and act like a man of thoughtfulness. Speak crystal clear without any ambiguity. Practice to behave in clean, stylish, disciplined, rational, logical, systematic and sensible (which makes sense) manner. Every fool may become a hero at one time or another. Watch a man do his most common actions; those are indeed the things which will tell you the real character of a great man. Practice to strive for perfection in whatever you do through sincere, honest, diligent, concerted hardworking efforts towards consistent improvement. Don’t be astonished if you succeed at first attempt. It is very difficult to be simple

Change is the only constant thing. Death is the most certain thing in life. You should be consciously aware that you are going to die any moment just like that. This is the time to make a difference. Hence Just do it now itself

Purpose of Life - from writings on Buddhism and Mindfulness

Practice to be Breathe conscious. Self is just a stream of thoughts. Practice detachment from the mortal self. Overcome sorrow of change, mental and physical pain, existence and non - existence. Practice to be consciously, cautiously, comprehensively alert of this moment, of the reality, of the complete truth. Purpose of the life is to be aware & live this moment fullest

Face the reality boldly with an appropriate wholesome view, appropriate action. Practice to control your emotions. Practice to explicitly express the emotions to suit situations. Dream while you are awake

Acknowledge your many roles and respond accordingly. Practice to see things as they are without any preconceived notions.

Guiding Messages on Self Realisation: Movie and Book Siddhartha

Siddhartha (1972) is a film based on the novel of the same name by Herman Hesse, directed by Conrad Rooks.

The film tells the story of the young Siddhartha (played by Shashi Kapoor), born in a rich family, and his search for a meaningful way of life. This search takes him through periods of harsh asceticism, sensual pleasures, material wealth, then self-revulsion and eventually to the oneness and harmony with himself that he had been seeking. Siddhartha learns that the secret of life cannot be passed on from one person to another, but must be achieved through inner experience.

"Slower, he walked along in his thoughts and asked himself: But what is this, what you have sought to learn from teachings and from teachers, and what they, who have taught you much, were still unable to teach you?? And he found:

It was the self, the purpose and essence of which I sought to learn. It was the self, I wanted to free myself from, which I sought to overcome. But I was not able to overcome it, could only deceive it, could only flee from it, only hide from it. Truly, no thing in this world has kept my thoughts thus busy, as this my very own self, this mystery of me being alive, of me being one and being separated and isolated from all others, of me being Siddhartha! And there is no thing in this world I know less about than about me, about Siddhartha!"
